What is the difference between a career and a job? Have you ever had a job? What did you learn from that position? How do you think what you learned might translate into a career? What skills do you believe transfer from the classroom to a job and to a career?A job to me is a position one has for an undetermined amount of time, mostly as a short-term position. A job is not what one expects to do
for their entire life. A job is not a usual position for a person to connect with on a personal level. A career, however, is a position that one is interested and invested in personally along with the expectation of holding that position for many years. I technically have never had a real job. I am a football manager but that is considered more of volunteer work. Though I am not paid, managing has taught me many core values one needs for the workforce. I’ve learned discipline, compatibility with co-workers, and overall maturity.
